Placing itself is the global project “Structures of Memory” started in 2015 at the International Biennial of Asunción in Paraguay, MEMORIES FROM ANOTHER EARTH is the first action in Germany of the Argentinian artist Guillermo Anselmo Vezzosi, joining us to inaugurate our new Artist in Residence Program, right after his latest installation for the Venice Lands Art Prize, of the Venice Biennale. Vezzosi´s site specific installations are like resonances from a different time, crystallized ghosts of memories of what was, or even fantastic hypothesis of what could have been in that specific space. They are the artist´s invitation to the viewer to imagine the immense energetic and essenceful world existing beyond the surface of the tangible reality. The twine of the metal traits remind of the DNA helix, like the artist would have revealed the essential structure of a memory, an echo of the past or a resonance of a potential reality that didn´t happen, evoking the permanent metamorphosis of the cosmos and the melancholic feeling of lost automatically born out it.
