Boreal Outbreak

This artwork was awarded First Prize in the National New Senses Competition organized by the MUMBAT Museum of Fine Arts of Tandil, the Municipality of Tandil and the Bértoli Group. It has been located in the Plaza Urban Building in the city of Tandil since 2016.

Vezzosi´s conception of a line that emerges from the flat surface to conquer space has a long fruitful life in art. Among many other experiences, let´s remember the heuristic trip that abstraction realizes, centring the artistic creation around the rational form. A trip into abstraction that -taking into account the line- is lived from two different attitudes: one is compulsive and cathartic; imposed by the form of vertigo and the subjective impulse, owing gesture or the expression in solitude. The other, on the other hand, forms nexus, establishes links and connections, pursues to reach structures; the place where the forces of equilibrium agree. In this latter we find Vezzosi in the place where ideas and materials reveal to correspond to structural preferences.
