Guillermo Anselmo Vezzosi´s three-dimensional installations demonstrate the important relationships between the intricacies of drawing and the expansiveness of sculpture. Often showcasing dizzying bursts of color, explosive occupations of space, and a transparency that lets viewers appreciate the characteristics of his chosen environments, Vezzosi´s works express both abundance and understatement. Reminiscent of other highly detailed contemporary drawers, such as Julie Mehretu and Simon Evans, Vezzosi importantly documents the evolutions and synergies between line and form. In Asunción, Vezzosi hopes to rely both on the beauty of raw, open space, as well as the detailed architectural features of abandoned residencies, in order to draw attention to forgotten landmarks and places in the urban landscape.
